Direct Tax Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Direct Tax Strategist to lead our tax strategy and compliance efforts. With a strong background in direct taxes, you will play a critical role in mitigating tax risks, handling audits, and driving strategic decisions that optimize the company's tax position.

The ideal candidate will have a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, in-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws, and proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and handling tax audits. Strong research and analytical skills, excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement direct tax strategies, research and interpret tax laws, prepare and review direct tax returns, manage tax audits, and advise internal teams on tax implications of business decisions and transactions. You will also monitor changes in direct tax laws, identify tax saving opportunities, and provide guidance and training to finance and business teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing direct tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Researching and interpreting tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to stay up-to-date on best practices
  • Preparing and reviewing direct tax returns, managing tax audits, and advising internal teams on tax implications
  • Providing guidance and training to finance and business teams on tax-related matters
