Specialist Physiotherapist Required

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physiotherapist to join our team. This specialist role is crucial in delivering personalized therapeutic support to enhance the well-being and development of children with diverse needs.

About The Role:
  • The successful candidate will conduct thorough physiotherapy assessments for children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, ASD with motor delay, and other conditions affecting motor development.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans (ITPs) and therapy goals in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other health professionals.
  • Deliervailed 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions according to each child's developmental level and physical needs.
  • Provide assistance for physical access and mobility within the school environment, including recommendations for adaptations and assistive equipment.
  • Monitor progress and outcomes using evidence-based tools and update care plans accordingly.
  • Support pupils with postural management programs, mobility aids, orthotics, and safe handling strategies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) and HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
  • Previous experience working with children and/or young people with special needs is highly desirable.
  • Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children qualifications are essential.
  • Knowledge of conditions affecting motor development and experience with specialist equipment is highly beneficial.
