Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager at The Job Shop, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with the recruitment team to understand client needs, helping develop tailored solutions, and ensure a high level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and cold outreach.
  • Client Acquisition: Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients, including presenting our services, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed revenue targets and business goals.
  • Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends to senior management.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, client needs, and competitive landscape, and use this information to inform business strategies.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development preferably within the recruitment or staffing industry. Advertising recruitments is an added advantage.
  • Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the recruitment industry and market dynamics is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced qualifications are a plus.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with industry-specific tools and platforms is an advantage.
