Senior Software Architect

We seek a seasoned professional to spearhead the design and development of scalable, maintainable software architecture for our maritime operations platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a culture of excellence and productivity.
  • Software Architecture: Contribute to the design and development of software that meets the evolving needs of the maritime sector.
  • Product Lifecycle: Take ownership of the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through deployment and maintenance.
  • Test-Driven Development: Implement Test-Driven Development practices, including writing comprehensive unit tests, to ensure high-quality, reliable code.
  • Code Optimization: Continuously optimize applications for maximum performance and speed.
  • Security: Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for all systems and processes related to the products you own.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, leadership, or management roles.
  • Strong programming foundation, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Experience in developing web applications and APIs (REST), and good knowledge of frameworks like Django or Flask.
  • Considerable expertise in secure software development and handling sensitive data.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and experience working with Git.
  • Familiarity with caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or other web/app servers.
  • Proficiency in containerization tool - Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise-level deployment and scaling.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
