Test Automation Engineer

As a skilled Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the quality and efficiency of our software systems. We are seeking an expert who can leverage their knowledge of automation tools and methodologies to develop comprehensive test plans and cases for internal and external-facing software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement functional and performance test plans and cases for complex software systems.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using Cypress and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Candidate Profile:

  • 8+ years of experience in QA/Automation with 4+ years hands-on experience with Cypress (JS/TS).
  • Strong proficiency in Page Object Model (POM), data-driven tests, custom commands, intercepts, stubs/mocks, and handling dynamic elements/retries.
  • Excellent TypeScript/JavaScript fundamentals (modules, async/await, promises).
Requirements:
  • Experience with API testing (Cypress request flows), JSON assertions, schema/contract validation.
  • Proficiency in git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Knowledge of BrowserStack or similar cross-browser platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience with testing Angular/Ruby on Rails based web applications is a plus.
  • Experience with testing mobile apps.
