Job Overview

This senior-level Compliance Officer position plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's regulatory compliance in insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Periodic submissions of regulatory documents to the IRDA portal require collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Awareness of submission processes, including new business submissions, schedules submissions, SP submissions, complaints submissions, financial statements submissions, and compliance certificates as applicable.
  • Registers Maintenance: Tracking, aligning, ensuring, and coordinating with respective business units and BIU teams for regulatory registers maintained in an appropriate format and submitted to IRDAI.
  • Communication to regulators: Notification of all communications, including branch opened & closed data, directorship change, regulatory charges levied, etc.
  • IIB Envoy Portal Update: Uploading, tracking, and reviewing salespersons and SP details periodically.
  • IRDAI CA/ISNP/Envoy License Renewal: Ensuring all applicable licenses are availed, procured, and renewed within applicable timelines and coordinating with relevant stakeholders on licensing applicability and repository maintenance.
  • NOC issuance & Detagging Pan in IRDAI portal: Issuing NOC for exited SPs and detagging PAN from IRDA & Envoy along with record keeping.
  • Telemarketer License: Applying for telemarketing license as per guidelines and submitting regulatory data to IRDAI as per stipulated guidelines.
  • Renewal of IRDAI CA license, PO, ISNP, Envoy, any other licenses to be kept in track and renewed along with PO & relevant stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Checklist maintenance: Tracking the regulatory checklist (IRDAI Data maintenance, Registers, timely submissions, grievances, etc.) completely along with stakeholders.
  • Reconciliations Tracking: Coordinating with finance, product teams, and insurers for reconciliation sign off every month. Ensuring gaps identified in recon are followed up.
  • Agreements maintenance: Maintaining and tracking agreements of insurers, SLAs of insurers, Commission structure of insurers.
  • Grievance tracking/Data maintenance: Tracking grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinating resolution with insurers, business, product, and branch team. Maintaining the grievance register as per regulatory requirement.
  • Audit Initiation for Branch & Tracking: Providing the Audit Checklist and coordinating with functional audit team and tracking audit resolution for branches.
  • Compliance check on AML: Providing the checklist to the compliance team of MFL and coordinating and tracking AML cases with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Legal/Litigation Tracking: Bookkeeping the litigation of insurance cases, open cases, updating the regulator as needed.
  • Any other activity delegated by management & supervisor from time to time.
