Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Specialist to manage procurement operations, ensuring timely delivery of quality materials while optimizing costs. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in procurement, vendor management, and purchasing workflows.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines. They will also identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and establishing relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
  • Maintaining a supplier database, ensuring continuous assessment of performance and compliance.
  • Working closely with engineering and project teams to understand technical requirements for materials and equipment.
  • Ensuring purchased materials comply with engineering specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Reviewing and approving technical documents, material submittals, and compliance certifications.
  • Conducting market research to identify cost-effective alternatives and innovative materials.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in procurement (construction/fabrication industry preferred).
  • Strong negotiation & vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software & Excel.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on cost control & efficiency.
