Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced API Testing Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and validating MuleSoft APIs, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of API testing tools, REST/SOAP, and MuleSoft platform components. Experience in CI/CD pipelines and API automation is also desirable.

The role demands expertise in designing and developing automated API test scripts, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and preparing test documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Collaboration
  • Work closely with developers, architects, and business analysts to understand API specifications and business requirements.
  • Design detailed test strategies, plans, and scenarios for MuleSoft APIs.
  • Testing & Validation
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of MuleSoft APIs.
  • Validate RESTful and SOAP-based APIs, checking response formats, headers, status codes, and business logic.
  • Execute API mocking and simulate downstream system responses.
  • Automation & Tools
  • Design and develop automated API test scripts (ReadyAPI preferred; Postman, SoapUI, JMeter acceptable).
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Defect Management & Reporting
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation including test cases, scripts, and summary reports.
  • Data Validation
  • Write complex SQL queries for backend data verification.
  • Agile Participation
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 7+ years in API testing, with 3+ years in MuleSoft API testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, ReadyAPI).
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft platform components and architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of HTTP, JSON, XML, OAuth2, JWT, API security standards.
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data validation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Integration/Platform Specialist.
  • ISTQB Certification.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Experience in DevOps pipelines and API automation.
  • Exposure to performance/load testing with JMeter or ReadyAPI.
  • Good understanding of SAP order fulfilment processes.
