Legal Manager Position Overview

The role of a Legal Manager is pivotal in minimizing delinquency and achieving timely recoveries within the commercial vehicle portfolio. This position requires strategic planning and implementation of recovery actions aligned with regulatory guidelines and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all recovery activities to minimize delinquency and ensure timely recoveries are achieved.
  • Oversee negotiations, settlements, and restructuring of delinquent accounts as necessary.
  • Handle cases under the SARFAESI Act, Arbitration Act, and other relevant laws for recovery purposes.
  • Represent the company in court proceedings, arbitration, and other legal forums as required.

In addition to these primary responsibilities, the Legal Manager will ensure that all documentation related to recovery, legal notices, and repossession is accurate and legally sound. They will also maintain records of legal proceedings and conduct periodic audits of recovery-related legal documentation.

Furthermore, this role involves close collaboration with internal teams to streamline recovery processes, liaison with law enforcement agencies and other external agencies for asset repossession and recovery activities, and providing guidance to the collections team on legal matters.
