Senior Hydraulic Systems Designer

This role entails creating, enhancing, and refining hydraulic systems, components, and addressing ECNs and ECRs for power equipment and tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in compliance with company procedures and documentation standards.
- Develop new hydraulic systems and components or improve existing designs using core engineering principles for industrial power equipment and tools.
- Lead design projects from concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables.
- Lead design reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA processes, and root cause analysis for field issues.
- Produce and revise 2D drawings and 3D models utilizing SolidWorks.
- Ensure all designs meet required functionality, performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, hydraulic schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and material/part number creation.
- Maintain accurate design records and version control using SolidWorks PDM.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project management, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to meet project timelines and goals.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing industrial hydraulic systems and components.
- Understanding of engineering standards (ISO, EN, ASME, ASTM) and compliance requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
