Job Title:

Software Development Specialist

  • The role involves working with network-related software products to ensure they meet the defined requirements.
  • Build optimized network configurations based on reference designs.
  • Develop and execute test plans for both automated and manual testing.
  • Collaborate with developers to deliver high-quality products by providing constructive feedback, reporting issues, and interacting effectively.
  • Review product requirements from the Product Management team.
  • Utilize various network troubleshooting tools, such as packet captures, monitoring devices, log files, and customer input, to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies through either validation or deployment of related networking products.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one popular Networking Operating System, such as NXOS, IOS, EOS, JunOS, or SONiC.
  • Solid understanding of data center networks architecture, including 3-stage and 5-stage clos architectures.
  • Expert understanding of protocols used in data center networks, like VXLAN and MP-BGP.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Deep understanding of software, networking, and system concepts, including Linux internals, distributed system concepts, and network troubleshooting tools.
  • Quality-focused personality with a strong interest in identifying product limitations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and make informed decisions.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
