Job Title: WAF Security Expert

We are seeking an experienced WAF Security Expert to join our team.

Role Description:

The WAF Security Expert will work on secure deployment and configuration of WAF solutions to protect web applications from common vulnerabilities, DDoS attacks, and other malicious activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Secure deployment and configuration of WAF solutions
  • Analyze detection patterns and contribute towards fine-tuning of the WAF detection capabilities
  • Automate WAF rule management and reporting
  • Support implementation of WAF solutions for roofs
  • Coordinate with security architects and application owners
  • Connect and collaborate with vulnerability management, critical asset protection & business teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience as a WAF Engineer/Application Security Specialist
  • Hands-on experience in management, deployment, and operation of Web Application Firewall technologies (Specially Imperva WAF)
  • Strong understanding of a large range of security topics
  • In-depth knowledge of common application security vulnerabilities and mitigation controls & strategies
  • Knowledge of monolithic & microservices application architecture and common web application frameworks
  • Good industry certifications: CCNA, CISSP, OSCP, CompTIA Security+
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban an added advantage

Key Skills:

Experience with Imperva WAF, strong understanding of security topics, in-depth knowledge of application security vulnerabilities, and knowledge of monolithic & microservices application architecture.
