Job Title: ServiceNow IT Asset Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and optimize our IT asset lifecycle using the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and maintaining ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management modules, ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and efficient asset tracking.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain the ServiceNow HAM module for accurate hardware asset tracking.
  • Manage asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, ensuring efficient deployment and returns of assets.
  • Establish workflows for asset requests, approvals, deployments, and returns, promoting transparency in the process.
  • Maintain an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for hardware assets, ensuring all information is up-to-date and reliable.
  • Develop asset audit processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.
Software Asset Management Skills:
  • Configure and maintain the ServiceNow SAM module for effective software license management.
  • Track and manage software licenses, subscriptions, and usage across the organization, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance.
  • Optimize software spending by identifying unused licenses and ensuring efficient allocation, maximizing ROI on software investments.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on software usage and compliance, providing insights to stakeholders and driving informed decision-making.
General Requirements:
  • Create and manage ITAM/ITOM dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into asset management performance.
  • Design and implement Process improvements aligned with industry best practices and global standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement asset management processes & solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Monitor and resolve integration issues with other IT systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and minimal disruptions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on HAM/SAM processes and tools, promoting user adoption and minimizing support requests.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT Asset Management.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM and SAM processes & modules.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, especially asset and configuration management.
  • Experience with CMDB configuration and management.
Key Competencies:
  • Expertise in creating custom scripts, workflows, and integrations using JavaScript and other relevant languages.
  • Ability to implement and configure SAM and HAM modules to meet organizational needs.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, subscription, SaaS).
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow administration, including workflow configuration and customizations.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
