Backend Engineering Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineering Lead to spearhead the development of our systems. As a seasoned backend engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing large-scale systems that handle millions of transactions.

Your code will have a direct impact on the financial well-being of millions of users, from seamless payments to intelligent banking features that truly work. We adapt to your strengths, not the other way around, so bring your preferred technology stack.

We're looking for someone with 6+ years of experience in backend development with any modern language (Java, Python, Go, Node.js, C#, Scala) who has successfully scaled systems without compromising performance. You should also have expertise in cloud computing (AWS, OCI, Kubernetes, Docker) and distributed systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Effective communication skills are essential for our global team.

Bonus points for frontend knowledge (JavaScript, Vue.js), startup experience, or a problem-solving mindset.

  • The Role - What You'll Actually Do:
  • Design APIs handling high volumes of transactions, troubleshoot production issues, transform ideas into functional features, shape engineering culture and practices, and write maintainable code.

Requirements:

6+ years of backend experience, scaled systems, cloud expertise, distributed systems experience, and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Frontend knowledge, startup experience, or a problem-solving mindset.
