Job Overview

The Senior Tax Manager position involves overseeing and managing the organization's tax strategy, compliance, planning, risk management, and reporting. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to Indian tax laws and international regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, and supporting business initiatives through proactive tax advice.

This role requires liaising with tax authorities and ensuring transparent and timely reporting to the board and regulatory bodies. The candidate will also be responsible for facilitating and managing the preparation and review of the company's Income tax and GST returns, as well as accurately filing all tax forms.

The Senior Tax Manager will lead a team in managing tax procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary Corporate and state taxes.

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of Indian direct and indirect tax laws, compliance, and procedures for Companies, as well as experience working in the e-commerce industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax team members as they prepare components of the company's income tax return and other tax documents.
  • Plan for and develop the overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with the tax team.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Manage and facilitate income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate their effects proactively to management and the other stakeholders, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Provide support with various internal audits, statutory audits, and special tax-related projects.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as a tax manager.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge and working experience in the e-commerce industry.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Experience handling tax for a listed Company is preferred.
