Network Engineer Job

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work on creating and improving network services and solutions.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise for all phases of the infrastructure lifecycle, from ideation through execution, ongoing management, and service retirement/recycle.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, engineer, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN/WiFi networks adhering to architecture, security, privacy, compliance standards with a focus on global WiFi networking.
  • Manage network services and circuit capacity.
  • Plan and deliver projects including hardware and software specification, vendor coordination, and full operational turnover.
  • Review change plans and runbooks.
  • Govern third-party service providers.
  • Provide Level 3 escalation support for operational issues and outages.
  • Collaborate with key teams including Network Architects, Test and Certification, Information Security, Finance, Procurement, etc.
  • Participate in product strategy and planning.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate network designs, tooling, and operations reducing implementation cycle times minimizing/eliminating service downtime and optimizing performance.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of enterprise wireless protocols RF site surveys and security best practices.
  • Proven experience with SD-WAN policy configuration site provisioning and performance tuning.
  • Proficient in Layer 2/3 networking concepts including VLANs STP OSPF BGP and multicast.
  • Skilled in network monitoring diagnostics and performance tools e.g. Wireshark Net Brain Thousand Eyes ADEM.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with telco and ISP networks ensuring diversity and managing availability.
  • Excellent documentation communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead network design and implementation projects independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours during change implementations and service restoration efforts.

Education and Certifications:

An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience/certification.
