Job Title: Safety Manager

Key Purpose of the Job:

The role is responsible for leading the EHS function across residential sites across Pan India.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Policy and Program Development: Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Safety across Sites: Ensure all safety measures align with industry standards and regulatory requirements across all sites.
  • Communication: Communicate safety programs across all levels of the organization to promote a culture of safety.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Risk Management and Hazard Identification: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Safety Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key safety performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Contractor and Vendor Safety Management: Ensure contractors and vendors adhere to the company's safety policies and standards.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the safety team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and skills to perform effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 20 + years of experience in safety management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards, such as OSHA, ISO 45001, and other safety certifications.
  • Proven experience in managing and improving safety programs in industrial or corporate settings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, safety audits, and incident investigation procedures.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or OSHA is highly desirable.
