EDI Support Engineer

The role of the EDI Support Engineer is a vital position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.

Responsibilities include conducting daily checks on EDI systems to guarantee seamless communication between trading partners. This involves investigating and resolving failed EDI transactions in a timely manner, resubmitting failed tasks, and ensuring accurate data exchange between systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the EDI team to provide support and assist in troubleshooting, documenting processes and maintaining records of system performance. Additionally, they will provide user support and training to ensure optimal utilization of EDI systems.

Key skills and qualifications for this role include experience with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, or XML), proficiency in IBM Sterling integration tools, and strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach are essential, as is the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Gentran mapping or similar EDI tools, understanding of supply chain and logistics operations, experience with SAP integration, and knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
