Senior Finance Associate Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Finance Associate to support our Reinsurance Finance function in India. This role will be responsible for quarterly closing and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting: Responsible for Reinsurance Financial accounting and reporting activities, including control validations around ceded QS, FAC, XOL accruals process, and FDM review process.
  • Financial Analysis: Performing actual vs budget analysis for ceded reinsurance business for current year vs prior year, QOQ, YOY etc.
  • Reconciliation: Performing Ceded Payable, Ceded Receivable balance sheet reconciliation, including liaising with technical operation accountant to implement consistent reconciliation, issue resolution, and monitoring of variances.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Oversight of Bank reconciliation suspense account open items.
  • Query Analysis: Extracting queries from CRAFT, FDM, EFRL, HFM and analysing the same.
  • Journal Entries: Preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Communication: Maintaining effective communication with onshore stakeholders, both written and verbal, and manage expectations.
  • Reporting: Keeping the flexibility in reports to incorporate any high-level adjustments or structural changes from onshore.
  • Exception Handling: Liaising with onshore stakeholders in the identification, investigation of any exceptions in reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Financial Accounting and Analytical Skills.
  • MBA in Finance or CA inter with relevant experience of relevant years in Financial Accounting, Internal reporting.
  • Good Accounting knowledge - Posting Journal Entries, Income Statement Analysis, Balance Sheet etc.
  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
