Job Title

A High-Performance System Specialist role that focuses on fine-tuning RedHat Linux environments for optimal system and application performance.

This position requires a deep understanding of system architecture, CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network performance metrics. The successful candidate will have experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling, and be familiar with profiling and monitoring tools such as top, vmstat, iostat, sar, perf, strace.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages for automation, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will also have good communication and collaboration abilities, and be able to prepare detailed performance reports and documentation for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system and application performance issues on RedHat Linux environments.
  • Conduct performance testing, benchmarking, and capacity planning for applications and infrastructure.
  • Use profiling and monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize code and system resource usage.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for performance testing and monitoring.
  • Tune Linux kernel parameters, network settings, and system resources for optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of RedHat Linux system administration and performance tuning.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
