Expert System Administrator sought for a challenging role that requires strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Unix and Linux systems, as well as experience with troubleshooting and management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement solutions to complex system problems, working closely with the Data Center TDU COE team to ensure expert assistance and resolution.
  • Coordinate with vendor and customer teams to resolve product-related issues and software bugs.
  • Prepare detailed reports on system performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct regular incident analysis to identify proactive problem tickets and develop permanent fixes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of network equipment and links.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Strong understanding of Unix and Linux operating systems, including file systems, permissions, and command-line interfaces.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V, VMware, and containerization.
  • Knowledge of storage protocols such as ISCSI, FC, SCSI, CIFS, NFS, and Veritas Volume Manager.
  • Certifications in RH254: Red Hat System Administration III and Solaris Administration basics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
