Data Scientist Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Finance Analytics team as a Data Scientist. This role is responsible for developing predictive and prescriptive analytic solutions that drive business value.

This position involves working closely with business partners to design and build effective solutions for complex business problems, including maintaining and improving production forecast modeling pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and evaluating data effectiveness and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and improve production forecast modeling pipelines, including model monitoring and refitting as needed.
  2. Collaborate with business partners to design and build effective solutions for complex business problems.
  3. Integrate data from multiple sources and develop robust, cross-functional data assets to support analytics.
  4. Evaluate data effectiveness and accuracy, identify materiality of data issues, and recommend paths forward.
  5. Perform multivariate and exploratory data analysis and communicate key findings to colleagues and stakeholders.
  6. Apply statistics and machine learning to build predictive models and tools supporting business initiatives.
  7. Work closely with the team to perform complex analytics and data preparation tasks, including feature engineering and brainstorming potential data sources.
  8. Communicate and present findings to stakeholders, ensuring successful integration of projects into business processes.
  9. Provide training guidance and assistance to colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with time series modeling.
  • At least 2 years of data science-related experience.
  • Strong data analysis and advanced data manipulation skills using SQL.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate an understanding of their work products.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can take ownership of projects, deliver high-quality data-driven analytics solutions, and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
