Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design and implement large-scale data architectures that unify data lakes and warehouses.

This role involves developing and optimizing streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar, and Flink to process structured/unstructured data with low latency.

The ideal candidate will leverage Java to build scalable, high-throughput data applications and services.

They will work with modern data warehouses and query engines for sub-second operations and analytics on real-time data.

Additionally, they will collaborate with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) systems to manage diverse data workloads.

This position requires ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across multi-tenant systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Staying ahead of trends in the data ecosystem is crucial for driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement petabyte-scale lakehouse architectures.
  • Develop and optimize streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar, and Flink.
  • Leverage Java to build scalable, high-throughput data applications and services.
  • Work with modern data warehouses and query engines for sub-second operations and analytics on real-time data.
  • Collaborate with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) systems to manage diverse data workloads.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering with large-scale systems (petabyte-level).
  • Expert proficiency in Java for data-intensive applications.
  • Hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, stream processing (Flink), and event streaming (Kafka/Pulsar).
  • A strong understanding of SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases.
  • A proven track record in optimizing query engines (e.g., Spark, Presto) and data pipelines.
  • Data governance, security frameworks, and multi-tenant systems knowledge.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) is beneficial.
