Job Overview:

As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and assisting clients' data modernization journey by collaborating with our team of 70 software, data, and DevOps engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting clients on cloud-first strategies for core data initiatives.
  • Providing thought leadership on process and technical matters.
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the modernization and transformation of clients' end-to-end data strategy, including infrastructure, collection, transmission, processing, and analytics.
  • Mentoring and educating clients' teams to keep them up to speed with the latest approaches, tools, and skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification.
  • Experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to get to the root of an issue quickly.
  • Strong knowledge of Scala, Python, or Linux administration and networking.
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SQL Servers, data engineering on platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse.
  • Experience with Kafka and Spark and extensive experience using them in a production environment.
  • Understanding of security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture.
