System Engineer II Position Overview

Job Description:

The System Engineer II will be responsible for developing and validating system requirements for aircraft environmental control systems (ECS). This includes designing system models, algorithms, and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape, creating test procedures for systems integration, and automating V&V tasks using DOORS/DOORS NG.

Role Responsibilities:

This role involves translating ECS system-level requirements into SysML models and simulation schemes. It also requires conducting system testing per ARP-4754, ARP-4761, and standards like DO-160 and MIL-461. Additionally, the System Engineer II will use MBSE and RBE methodologies for lifecycle and configuration management.

Key Deliverables:

  1. Develop and validate system requirements for Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS).
  2. Design system models, algorithms, and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape.
  3. Create test procedures for systems integration and automate V&V tasks using DOORS/DOORS NG.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of system engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape and DOORS/DOORS NG.
  • Experience with MBSE and RBE methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
