Senior Clinical Research Manager Job Description

Lead and manage clinical trials and research studies to ensure timely completion, regulatory compliance, and quality results.

The Senior Clinical Research Manager is responsible for planning, initiating, and managing clinical research projects from start to finish. This involves ensuring adherence to protocols, timelines, and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical research, with experience in project management, team leadership, and regulatory compliance. A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.

  • Clinical Trial Management: Plan and execute clinical trials, ensuring timely completion and regulatory compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor clinical research staff, assigning tasks and responsibilities based on project needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory documentation, monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Study Design & Protocol Development: Work with scientific and medical teams to develop clinical trial protocols, ensuring meeting study objectives, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Ensure data collection, monitoring, and analysis are conducted efficiently and accurately.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, overseeing resource allocation.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in clinical research software and data management systems, and a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field (Master's or higher preferred).
  • Experience: 8 to 18 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong project management, leadership, and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in clinical research software and data management systems.
