Senior Backend Developer

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with in-depth expertise in Laravel and the TALL stack to lead the development of our portfolio of enterprise healthcare applications.

You'll play a critical role in designing and developing robust, scalable backend architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior developers.

  • Architect and build efficient, testable, and reusable code following modern Laravel best practices.
  • Lead the implementation of custom components and integrations with APIs.
  • Collaborate on frontend development using Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS, ensuring responsive and accessible UIs.
  • Manage data flows across internal and external systems, optimizing application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in Laravel and the broader PHP ecosystem.

Qualifications: 7+ years of experience building applications with Laravel, proven expertise in the TALL stack, strong understanding of modern PHP, Laravel architecture, Eloquent ORM, queues, jobs, and service providers, experience working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, solid understanding of database design (PostgreSQL experience preferred).

Nice to Have: Experience with Inertia.js or Vue, familiarity with automated testing using Pest or PHPUnit, contributions to open-source Laravel packages or community involvement.
