Job Title

  • Advanced Design Engineer

Job Description

The position involves working with an experienced physical design team to deliver the physical design of tiles and FullChip. The ideal candidate has significant industry experience, good analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in physical design and timing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. RTL to GDS2 flow implementation
  2. Handling Floor-plan, Physical Implementation of Power-plan, Synthesis, Placement, CTS, Routing, Extraction, Timing Closure (Tile level, Full chip), Physical Verification (DRC & LVS), Crosstalk Analysis, EM/IR
  3. Handling different PNR tools - Synopsys FusionCompiler, Cadence Innovus, PrimeTime, StarRC, Mentor Graphics Calibre, Apache Redhawk
  4. Identifying opportunities for improving PPA

Preferred Experience:

  1. 12+ years of professional experience in physical design, preferably with high performance designs
  2. Experience in automated synthesis and timing driven place and route of RTL blocks for high speed datapath and control logic applications
  3. Experience in clock tree synthesis, clock and power gating techniques, scan stitching, design optimization for improved timing/power/area, and design cycle time reduction
  4. Strong experience with tools for logic synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and design checks for physical and electrical quality, familiarity with tools for schematics, layout, and circuit/logic simulation
  5. Experience in STA, full chip timing
  6. Versatility with scripts to automate design flow

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
