Senior IC Physical Design Engineer

Job Description:

This is a senior role for an experienced physical design engineer to work on the development of leading-edge IC products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement top-level floor planning, PG planning, partitioning, placement, scan-chain reordering, clock tree synthesis, timing optimization, SI-aware routing, and timing analysis/closure.
  • Work on low power design techniques such as voltage islands, power gating, and substrate bias.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Interface with front-end ASIC teams to resolve issues.

Requirements:

Experience in physical design engineering with a strong background in ASIC design and development.

Extensive knowledge of Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical design tools.

Expertise in scripting languages such as Perl or TCL.

Strong physical verification skills and experience in static timing analysis.

Good written and oral communication skills.
