Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate dispensing activities in the OPD pharmacy.
  • Evaluate accuracy and timeliness of medication dispensing.
  • Monitor prescription audits, billing, and patient counselling processes.
  • Manage pharmacy scheduling, shift coverage, and workflow efficiency.
Inventory Management:
  • Oversee stock levels and reorder cycles.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive medications.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and coordinate with central stores or vendors.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Maintain compliance with Drug and Cosmetics Act, NABH, and internal pharmacy protocols.
  • Manage expiry dates and remove expired/near-expiry drugs promptly.
  • Accurately document drug receipts, issues, and narcotic drug handling.
Leadership & Training:
  • Train and mentor pharmacists, interns, and assistants on SOPs, drug knowledge, and safety.
  • Perform performance evaluations and feedback sessions.
  • Resolve team conflicts and promote a collaborative work culture.
Patient Interaction:
  • Address patient queries related to prescriptions, dosages, and drug interactions.
  • Provide privacy, safety, and courteous service to patients.
  • Escalate issues to clinical or administrative teams when necessary.
Technology & Reporting:
  • Ensure proper use of pharmacy software/ERP system for dispensing and reporting.
  • Generate daily/weekly reports on pharmacy performance, billing, and consumption.
  • Assist with data required for audits, compliance inspections, and quality initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Pharmacy (M. Pharm preferred)
  • Valid Pharmacy Council registration
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting
  • At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and prescription safety

  • Proficiency with pharmacy information systems
