Job Title: Lead - Demand Planner

Reporting: Vice President Supply Chain & Operations

Job Overview: -

We are seeking an experienced Lead Demand Planner to oversee the end-to-end demand and supply planning across our portfolio of brands. This leadership role is critical to building a data-driven, collaborative, and agile planning function that ensures product availability, minimizes inventory risk, and supports strategic business growth across diverse categories.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: -

• Lead centralized demand planning across all brands under Guardian Group
• Drive S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes with cross-functional stakeholders
• Build scalable planning frameworks across short-term, mid-term, and annual horizons

Forecasting & Analytics: -

• Consolidate brand-level forecasts into a cohesive group-level plan
• Use statistical models, market intelligence, and sales trends to improve forecast accuracy
• Review forecast KPIs (Bias, MAPE, Forecast Accuracy) and drive continuous improvements

Supply & Inventory Optimization

• Balance supply across multiple categories, geographies, and channels (online/offline)
• Optimize inventory levels to ensure availability without overstock
• Align with procurement and production teams to support efficient operations

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide brand-specific planners; build a high-performing planning team
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Category Heads to align business goals with planning priorities
• Engage regularly with logistics and warehousing partners to resolve supply bottlenecks.

KPI Monitoring & Process Improvement

• Track group-level planning KPIs:
• Forecast Accuracy (%)
• Fill Rate (%)
• Inventory Turnover
• Out-of-Stock Rate (%)
• Inventory Health by Brand/Channel
• Lead planning system integrations and dashboard development using tools like SAP, Excel, and Power BI

Key Qualifications & Skills: -

• Experience: 5+ years in Demand & Supply Planning in FMCG or related industries.
• Education: Bachelor's/masters degree in supply chain, Business, or a related field ( From Tier 1 College)
