Backend Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual to join our team as a Backend Developer. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving product development, ensuring smooth execution from concept to launch, and building impactful features for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Build and maintain core backend systems using PHP and Laravel, ensuring scalability for a growing SaaS platform. Design and manage APIs to power frontend, mobile apps, and third-party integrations.
  • Code Quality & Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support a reliable SaaS product. Debug and optimize existing systems to enhance performance and handle scale.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the small, cross-functional team (frontend, product, and operations) to deliver customer-focused solutions. Actively contribute to discussions around product features and technical approaches.
  • System Maintenance & Innovation: Continuously monitor and maintain secure and stable backend systems. Identify opportunities to enhance system capabilities or improve processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of backend development experience, preferably in a SaaS startup or small team environment. Proven track record of delivering impactful features in a lean setup.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP and Laravel for backend development. Strong knowledge of MySQL for managing complex databases. Hands-on experience with building and managing APIs for scalable applications.
  • Mindset: Startup mentality: adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of tasks. Customer-focused approach with a strong problem-solving mindset.
