Electrical Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an experienced professional in the field of electrical switchgear design and development, you will be responsible for leading detailed design and development of switchgear assemblies such as MCCs, control panels, motor starters, distribution boards, and protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review design documents, single line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Select appropriate components ensuring compliance with standards like IEC, ANSI, IS.

Technical Analysis & Validation:

  • Perform electrical calculations to validate design safety and performance.
  • Support prototype testing, fault analysis, and design optimization.
  • Work with QA to ensure design compliance with product certifications and quality standards.

Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and project teams to resolve design-related issues.
  • Provide technical support for customer queries and project execution.
  • Maintain design records, BOMs, and version control for all projects.

Mentoring & Process Improvement:

  • Mentor junior design engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Suggest and implement design process improvements and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Certifications in electrical design or project management are a plus.

Experience:

  • 6–12 years in design and development of electrical switchgear or panel boards.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical switchgear components, standards (IEC, ANSI, IS).
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and MS Office.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
