Electrical Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality electrical designs and delivering projects on time.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Create detailed electrical designs for various projects, including substation upgrades and new installations.
- Develop proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans.
- Prepare engineering cost and man-hour estimates and schedules.
- Design and prepare detailed engineering drawings for EHV projects from 33kV to 765kV.
- Coordinate design activities with other departments and review designs for compliance with client technical standards.
- Lead or execute assignments, including preparing proposals, estimating costs, and developing execution plans.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions and improve processes.
- Mentor less-experienced team members and provide guidance on design best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years of experience in electrical design and a maximum of ten years of experience in the substation industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with NESC, IEEE standards and software such as CDEGS and WinIGS.
