We are seeking an accounting professional to join our team as a Management Trainee, Record to Report. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all activities related to financial reporting, including journal entries, month-end closing, and internal controls.

To succeed in this position, you should have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with financial software such as SAP, and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journals at the end of the month after analysis of prepaid and accruals accounts
  • Develop and implement a monthly closing calendar and communicate the status with stakeholders daily
  • Execute internal controls and checks as part of the process and perform tasks with accuracy and timelines
  • Supervise intercompany reconciliation status and follow up with relevant teams to resolve variances before the month-end close
  • Daily bank reconciliations and clearing to ensure no open items remain after closing
  • Build payment proposals and review exceptions in SAP/ERP
  • Perform duplicate payment checks, quality checks on payment proposals, and review critical and month-end activities to ensure a smooth close
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree
  • Meaningful work experience in accounting or a related field
  • Good MS Office skills, especially in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in general accounting (R2R function) is preferred
  • Technology skills - SAP experience is highly desired
