Our organization is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst - Valuation Specialist to join our team of senior investment professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with us in providing valuation and monitoring services for our portfolio investments.

The Financial Analyst - Valuation Specialist will be responsible for initiating and maintaining financial models, as well as preparing valuation memos across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing thorough valuations on a range of investments across different industries.
  • Developing and updating valuation models, detailed reports, and presentations.
  • Independently gathering relevant data for the investments/models.
  • Responding to client queries in a clear and concise manner.
  • Prioritizing and executing multiple assignments, including ad-hoc projects, within tight deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in valuation and financial modelling, with a sound understanding of discounted cash flows, market multiples, and market transactions.
  • Exposure to US/European primary and secondary markets.
  • Strong Excel modelling and analytical skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters.
  • Hands-on experience with VBA macros.
  • Sector knowledge in Real Estate, Shipping, Aircraft, and Oil & Gas.

Academic Requirements:

  • MBA or equivalent qualification in finance from a reputable institution.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Economics, with CFA Level II completed.
