Job Title: Chief Health, Safety and Environmental Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated leader to fill the Head HSE position at our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy aligned with our overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Factory Act, Environmental guidelines, HSE regulations, standards, and best practices. They will also possess experience in green field/brown field expansion projects, environmental compliance, and permitting.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive HSE strategy that aligns with our business goals.
  2. Ensuring regulatory compliance with all applicable Acts, HSE regulations, standards, and permits.
  3. Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implementing appropriate control measures.
  4. Investigating and analyzing incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  5. Developing and delivering HSE training programs to employees at all levels.
  6. Tracking and reporting on key HSE performance indicators.
  7. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance.
  8. Liaising and fostering strong communication channels and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the metal and mining industry.
  • Approved Safety officer as per Odisha Factory Act.
  • Strong knowledge of Factory Act, Environmental guidelines, HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in green field/brown field expansion projects, environmental compliance, and permitting.
