Job Role
  • Underground Power Infrastructure Specialist

The role involves designing and developing underground cable infrastructure for transmission and distribution networks.

  1. Prepare detailed designs and drawings in accordance with relevant codes of practice, standards, and regulatory authorities.
  2. Coordinate with junior team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  3. Conduct quality reviews of drawing packages and implement corrective actions as needed.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in power infrastructure design and implementation.
  5. Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve design efficiency and project delivery.
  6. Collaborate with project engineers and managers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  7. Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, alignments, layers, and design standards.
  8. Represent the company's interests through personal contacts, professional groups, and contributions at meetings.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in underground power infrastructure design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of utility telecommunications, distributed energy resource integration, and advanced distribution technologies.
  • Flexibility to work on different projects and with various stakeholders.
