Job Title: Project Manager for Sustainability Initiatives

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Manager for Sustainability Initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in managing end-to-end tendering and proposal development processes for projects related to carbon markets, renewable energy, environmental services, and non-binding sustainability initiatives.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in tendering/proposals who can coordinate well with technical experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation and submission of tenders, RFPs, EOIs, and bids in line with client and sector requirements.
  • Review tender documents and identify compliance requirements, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, legal, finance, business development) and experts to compile inputs, cost estimates, and supporting materials.
  • Draft and structure high-quality technical and commercial proposals tailored to carbon markets, renewable energy, and sustainability projects.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of templates, case studies, credentials, and standard bid documents.
  • Track and monitor relevant opportunities from government bodies, corporates, and international organizations.
  • Ensure timely submission of proposals and post-submission follow-up with clients and partners.
  • Support management in market research, pipeline development, and competitive analysis related to tendering.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification
  • 2-6 years of experience in project management for sustainability initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of tendering procedures in government, corporate, or donor-funded projects
  • Experience working directly on tenders for organizations such as GIZ, World Bank, ADB, UNDP
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate across departments and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Prior experience in drafting proposals for sustainability, carbon credits, or renewable energy projects
  • Exposure to working with international donors, development banks, or corporates
