Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

As a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our establishment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure compliance with established cleanliness standards.
  • Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and the use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock is maintained.
  • Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, including staff performance, inventory usage, and maintenance needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hotel or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • A thorough understanding of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment used in the hospitality sector.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.
