Messaging Expert Wanted

We are seeking a Messaging Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering Kafka and RabbitMQ in production environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, deploying, and managing clusters across on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Configuring brokers, exchanges, queues, topics, partitions, replication, and retention policies.
  • Monitoring platform health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka Manager, and RabbitMQ Management UI.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting issues.
  • Implementing access control, authentication, encryption, and RBAC/ACL policies.
  • Enforcing data governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Otimitizing throughput, latency, and resource usage through fine-tuning broker and pipeline configurations; planning for future scaling capacity.
  • Automating routine tasks using scripting, IaC tools, and integrating platforms with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Designing and maintaining backup, restore, and failover strategies to achieve high availability across datacenters or cloud zones.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in administering Kafka and RabbitMQ in production environments.
  • Proven track record in monitoring, optimization, and incident resolution.
  • Deep understanding of RabbitMQ and Kafka ecosystems: brokers, connectors, zookeeper/KRaft, schema registry.
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools and middleware performance metrics.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation abilities.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and mentoring juniors.
