Job Description

At our company, we are seeking a skilled Automation Tester to join our team. As an Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products.

Our ideal candidate has extensive experience with automation testing and a strong background in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java. You should be proficient in building automation frameworks and have experience with REST API testing.

We use CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI to integrate automated tests into our pipelines. Our team works closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements and define automation strategies.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing. You will also build and maintain automated test scripts that ensure product quality across different modules.

As an individual contributor without team lead or managerial responsibilities, you will contribute to faster resolution of defects by analyzing test failures, conducting root cause analysis, and contributing to defect management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing only.
  • Strong experience in building automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Experience with REST API testing and integrating API validations into automation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Solid understanding of test design principles, test coverage analysis, and automation strategy.
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar for test and defect management.

The ideal candidate must be currently functioning as an individual contributor and not in a team lead or managerial capacity.
