Job Title:

A Logistics Operations Manager is required to oversee the operational functions of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate imports and exports operations, ensuring timely and accurate processes by monitoring workflows and resources.
  • Ensure speedy cargo delivery to customers, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise shift managers and teams, reviewing KPIs and ensuring team members meet quality, timelines, and communication expectations.
  • Comply with customs regulations and other governing bodies.
  • Identify inefficiencies and data integrity issues, proposing automation and smarter flows.
  • Resolve escalations and exceptions during shipment processing and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Deliver regular feedback, training, and development sessions to build an operational mindset in the team.
Financial Management:
  • Set goals and objectives for the team according to company guidelines and key performance indicators.
  • Use established financial indicators and tools (e.g., daily invoicing and job numbers, financial reports).
  • Maximize revenue and finalize accounting matters in a timely manner.
People Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and manage operations teams.
  • Retail adequate staffing levels.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews and establish targets and objectives.
  • Monitor staff performance and work with HR on employee relations and training issues.
  • Make decisions on job status and succession planning recommendations to Human Resources.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with freight forwarding procedures and financials.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred: Commerce, International Trade, Logistics).
  • 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in freight forwarding.
  • 2+ years of team management experience, including managing team leads or shift managers.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and customer service mindset.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven.
  • Outstanding people skills; customer-driven, business-savvy.
  • Able to handle complex problems and multitask.
