We are seeking a skilled Revenue Accountant to fill a key role in our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end revenue accounting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition.
  • Review customer contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue treatment, including multi-element arrangements and variable considerations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close.
  • Analyze deferred revenue, billing schedules, and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness.
  • Partner with IT and finance systems teams to enhance automation and reporting capabilities related to revenue.
  • Support external audits and internal controls by providing documentation and insights into revenue processes.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and advise on implications for revenue recognition.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition, preferably in a SaaS, technology, or services environment.
  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • A strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and practical application in complex contract scenarios.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and revenue sub-ledgers or modules.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations); experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • A detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and sales teams.
