About this role

We are seeking a seasoned Business Risk Manager to join our team and help us develop sustainable growth strategies that align with operational risk frameworks.

The successful candidate will work across various teams to analyse and better understand their risk profile, support teams in managing and reducing risk, and perform risk and control assessments.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing controls, managing risks proactively, recording and reporting on risk incidents, and delivering technology risk insights to the Board and executive committees.

A strong background in technical risk and operational risk frameworks is essential, as well as experience in IT infrastructure, operations, software, hardware, data flows, change control, and the impact of these on an organisation's risk.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt messages based on the audience and expectations, and the capacity to define risk appetite, risk impact, and identify risk likelihood.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and better understand the risk profile of various teams.
  • Support teams in managing and reducing risk.
  • Perform risk and control assessments.
  • Design, implement, and test controls.
  • Manage risks proactively.
  • Record and report on risk incidents.
  • Deliver technology risk insights to the Board and executive committees.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of technical risk and operational risk frameworks.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure, operations, software, hardware, data flows, change control, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt messages based on the audience and expectations.
  • Capacity to define risk appetite, risk impact, and identify risk likelihood.
