Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards in fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Monitor Raw Materials: Inspect and monitor raw materials, fabricated components, and finished structures as per drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct Quality Audits: Conduct quality audits for welding, bolting, cutting, and assembly processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Dimensional Inspection: Carry out dimensional inspection of built-up sections, secondary members, and assemblies to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Surface Preparation: Monitor surface preparation, blasting, and painting/coating quality as per required standards to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Prepare Inspection Reports: Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain quality records, and ensure traceability of materials to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Coordinate with production, erection, and project teams to resolve quality issues and ensure seamless collaboration.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Fabrication Expertise: Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, and assembling techniques.
  • Welding Techniques: Proficiency in various welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving and analytical ability to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
Qualification & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality control or assurance in the fabrication industry.
