Senior Buyer and Planning Manager

A highly skilled professional responsible for overseeing end-to-end buying and planning activities. This includes seasonal range assortment, OTB planning, sales trend analysis, and inventory management.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in demand planning, purchase order management, and sales analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Buying and Planning
    • Identify and select products that align with the company's merchandising strategy and customer demand.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
    • Develop seasonal and annual merchandise range plans based on sales forecasts and customer preferences.
  • Sales and Performance Analysis
    • Analyze sales performance, profitability, and key merchandising metrics to make data-driven decisions.
    • Identify underperforming categories and recommend action plans for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Coordination
    • Work closely with teams like production, warehouse, design, sales, and marketing to curate product assortments.
    • Coordinate with retail operations to ensure smooth execution of merchandising plans in stores or online.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Merchandising, Fashion or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in buying, planning, or merchandising in Luxury retail, fashion, or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills for demand planning and sales projections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & other inventory management software.
