Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to drive the development of scalable data pipelines and systems in our organization.

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data processing architectures using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and ETL tools.

  • Data Pipeline Development
    • Design and implement efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows.
    • Optimize pipeline performance for high-throughput data processing.
  • Data Modeling & Storage
    • Create robust data models and schemas for analytics and reporting.
    • Ensure secure management of SQL Server databases.
  • Data Integration
    • Integrate structured and unstructured datasets from various sources.
    • Enforce compliance with HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA standards.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting
    • Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Advanced Analytics & ML Readiness
    • Process large datasets using Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
    • Prepare data for machine learning pipelines and predictive modeling.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentoring
    • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and subject matter experts.
    • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
  • Monitoring & Optimization
    • Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues.
    • Refine systems for scalability and uptime.
  • Qualifications & Skills:
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Engineering, preferably in healthcare or medical data environments.
    • Strong hands-on expertise in:
      • Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server.
      • Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL.
      • Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense.
    • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and healthcare data privacy standards (HIPAA).
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
