Job Description

As a specialist in industrial automation, you will lead the effort to develop and implement strategies for field instrumentation equipment. The role is focused on improving asset reliability by creating and assigning appropriate equipment strategy. Acting as the primary point of contact, your day will involve overseeing the equipment strategy assignment, collaborating with team members, and ensuring project success.

Your responsibilities will include performing engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology, reviewing and updating equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation, and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.

You will also be responsible for understanding asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management, preventive, predictive, and condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets, standardizing instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes, and having knowledge of hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong background in instrumentation technology, including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance strategy development and implementation.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management principles.
  • Understanding of preventive, predictive, and condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets.
  • Ability to standardize instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Familiarity with hazardous area classification and international instrumentation standards.
