Backend Architect

We're seeking a seasoned Backend Architect to join our team. As a critical member of our technology department, you'll design and manage the backend architecture for scalable web/mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop user authentication and authorization using industry-standard techniques.
  • Implement logic, user discovery algorithms, and preference-based filters.
  • Build chat and messaging systems with real-time messaging capabilities.
  • Integrate push notifications services for iOS and Android devices.
  • Design and manage MongoDB schema optimized for high-performance matchmaking and chat use cases.
  • Ensure secure API access using HTTPS and role-based access control.
  • Handle media uploads securely via cloud storage services.
  • Implement analytics hooks for key user actions and behavior tracking.
  • Build admin APIs for user moderation, reporting, and flagging systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js, Firebase, and MongoDB.
  • Strong understanding of token-based authentication and security practices.
  • Experience building scalable, real-time chat or messaging systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud storage and services.
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, and application scaling.
  • Clear communication skills for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
